Lightweight concrete as a filler for walls
The best density for walls is 500 – 600 kg/cub.m. In this case:
· thermal conductivity is 0,12 W/(m*k)
· compressive strength is 1,0 - 1,1 N/mm2
From one ton of dry mix you can receive 1,8 – 2,0 cub. m. of ready cellular concrete. If you use 83 mm studs from 1 ton of dry mix you can cast 20 - 21 sq.m. of ready walls.
One team with one mixer (200 kg capacity) can cast 5 tons per one shift (8 hours) or 100 sq.m. roughly.
Non-load bearing partition walls consists of (approved by Dubai Municipality and the UAE Civil Defence):
- Cold formed steel C 90 mm;
- Cellular lightweight concrete 600 kg/m3
- Fiber cement boards 9mm on both sides.
