Translucent stretch ceiling with DALI dimmable LED backlighting installed in a premium fitness showroom on Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai. The system features a custom aluminum lightbox, 4000K neutral white lighting, and perfectly uniform illumination without glare or shadows.
For this project, our team installed a translucent stretch ceiling with integrated LED backlighting inside a premium fitness equipment showroom located on Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai.
The goal was to create a clean, modern lighting feature that enhances the interior while providing uniform, glare-free illumination.
The system is built using a custom aluminum lightbox, equipped with 4000K neutral white LED lighting and controlled via a DALI dimming system, allowing flexible adjustment of brightness depending on the showroom needs.

Installation Process
Aluminum Lightbox Installation (Without Lighting)
The first stage involved installing a precision-engineered aluminum frame, forming the base of the lightbox.
This structure defines the shape and depth of the ceiling feature and ensures proper space for LED distribution and heat management.
At the second stage, we installed the LED lighting system, including:
• High-efficiency LED modules
• DALI-compatible drivers
• Internal wiring and layout for uniform light distribution
Special attention was given to spacing and positioning to eliminate shadows and hotspots.
The final stage was the installation of the translucent stretch ceiling membrane, which acts as a diffuser.
This transforms the system into a seamless luminous surface, delivering:
• Soft, even illumination
• Clean architectural appearance
• Premium visual effect for the showroom
Project Result
The completed installation creates a large circular light feature that becomes a focal point of the interior.
Thanks to the DALI dimming system, the lighting can be adjusted for different scenarios — from bright retail presentation to softer ambient lighting.
